Parliament Votes to Recognise the Genocide

On the 23rd of April 2021, Parliament unanimously declared that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was committing genocide against the Uyghur people.

This was largely due to the parliamentary pressure that Stop Uyghur Genocide and its allied organisations, including Yet Again UK, Coalition for Genocide Response and Burst the Bubble, were able to build, encouraging MPs to take a stand.

A protest was organised outside Parliament to rally MPs to vote. Rahima gave a powerful address alongside MPs Sir Iain Duncan Smith, Steven Kinnock and Nus Ghani.
